Meetings

Date: 1st and 3rd Monday of Every Month

Time: 7:30PM

Place: Church of the Foothills, Education Building

Address: 6279 Foothill Road, Ventura, CA (3 blocks East of Victoria Ave.)

*Every meeting: Buy, sell, trade session from 7:05 to 7:30pm. Also, Sales books: Topical stamps and country envelopes are available for 5 cents per stamp. Meetings begin at 7:30pm.

Schedule by quarters:

First month of the quarter: Speaker or similar type of program.
Second month of the quarter: Dealer’s Night.
Third month of the quarter: Silent auction.
The schedule may change depending on what available.

Schedule by Month:

The 1st Monday Meeting (of the month) features a Youth Stamp Fair – 12-lot auction.
The 3rd Monday Meeting (of the month) features a 40-Lot Auction.

Annual Dues

Adults – $25.00
Junior Members (under 18 years of age) – $12.50
Spouses – $12.50

Members joining after October pay $25.00 and it covers the balance of the year and all the following year.

Dues are due the 1st of each year. Download the VCPS-Renewal Form and return it with your payment for the current year.

From the President - Volunteer Needs - New Auction Procedure

Hi Everyone,

I hope this note finds you well. There will not be a printed bulletin or auction sheets this month. Sheri is in the hospital and Ken is too busy. Long term we may need someone else stepping up. If you can help, please volunteer. Most of you can print auction lists from your computer. There will be no printed ones available unless you print extras.

The purpose of writing this note is to inform you of the following change first is a change for the 40 lot auction. This will make it easier for people that want to bid, but also want to leave early. AFTER the meeting starts, those that want to bid and leave early will go up to the table, pull out the lots they want to bid on, and put them in ONE pile. You MUST put your name on the lot and your bid. Lots cataloguing under $5.00 must be at least $.50 and $5.00 up must be at least $1.00. If 2 people want the same lot, only 1 name and bid is necessary to get in the pile. The lots in the pile will be auctioned off in order (i.e. 2, 7, 12, 19, 23, 32, etc.). When the pile is finished there will be a pause. This is the time to pay the Treasurer for the lots. We will then conduct the raffle. After the break, the auction will resume in numerical order until the end.

The Door Prize remains at the end of the meeting.

Silent Auction June 5th

The Monday June 5th Regular Club Meeting will feature a Silent Auction in addition to the Live 12-Lot Auction. Be prepared for it.
